To drive the growth of Novopharm its manufacturing operations have adopted a site-centered approach. These fully integrated "Centres of Excellence" for Pharmaceutical Manufacturing, have all business functions required to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the site housed under one roof. Under the direction of senior management, these smaller, autonomous business units foster tightly knit teams of staff who achieve personal and organizational growth through innovation and initiative.

Novopharm has three "Centres of Excellence", world class facilities providing our customers with high quality, affordable pharmaceutical products. Each site has a team of skilled, experienced professionals in interrelated fields where their expertise can be put to use achieving exceptional results. These Canadian production sites are slated to become integral players in Teva's worldwide manufacturing network.

Novopharm - Stouffville
The Stouffville Centre of Excellence for Solid Dose Products features an expanded and upgraded facility that is truly world class. Over thirty million dollars has been invested at the site, located in the beautiful rolling countryside just north of Toronto. Stouffville Site Operations produce over 175 different products and nearly 600 SKUs, with annual output in excess of 3.5 billion tablets and capsules. Stouffville has on Site Quality Assurance and is the base for our Analytical Research & Development laboratories, as well as Corporate Technical Operations and Engineering. In total approximately 300 people are employed at the Stouffville facility.

Novopharm - Hood Road
Conveniently situated in Markham, the Hood Road Centre of Excellence for Penicillin products is currently undergoing a thirty million dollar expansion. Producing and packaging a range of penicillin products in various dosage forms, Hood Road is the global production site for Penicillin products. Approximately 275 people are employed producing approximately 30 million bottles for the US, Canadian and Israel markets. In addition to Packaging and Production, Hood has an on site Quality Assurance department. Located a short distance away is Hood Road's satellite production facility at Idema Road, the site is part of the Centre of Excellence for Penicillin Products.

Novopharm - 30 Novopharm Court
Our Centre of Excellence for Packaging is part of our head office complex at 30 Novopharm Court in Scarborough (adjacent to the 401 at Markham Road). Here products produced in Stouffville are prepared for distribution across Canada and around the world.

30 Novopharm Court also houses the Corporate Head Office and location of Finance, Sales, Marketing, Customer Care, Regulatory and Government Affairs, Human Resources, and our Quality Operations Group, as well as serving as our central distribution centre and base for Logistics, Planning and Purchasing. Also located on Novopharm Court, adjacent to the main facility is our R&D department and pilot plant as well as the 455 Milner production facility on an adjoining site.

Teva USA currently has the largest slate of products before the FDA and Teva Pharmaceuticals in Israel has several projects in various stages of development include new treatments for Parkinson's and Alzheimer's disease which are in advanced stages of clinical testing.
