What's new @ Workopolis
We've listened to your feedback, and we've been working hard to find new ways to match the best candidates with the right employers, faster. We've transformed our homepage, launched a much smarter job search engine, simplified our site navigation and made your tools easier to use.
Our new simpler homepage lets you weigh-in on the career issues of the day in our In Focus poll. We'll cast the Spotlight on a selection of top employers who are hiring right now. You can also find jobs and get updated with the latest news and headlines right from our homepage.
Our powerful new search engine will deliver even better results to your job searches by ranking results according to how relevant they are to your search query, rather than by the date they were posted. Not only will you find more accurate matches to your searches, but now you can also refine your search right from the Job Search Results page. This will help make your searching a lot easier.
You can now reuse your searches with ease. The new Workopolis search lets you manage your Saved Searches and Career Alerts right from the same page. Whether you want to re-run a search for your dream job or get notified by email when it's posted online, you can do it all right from one convenient spot.
- Note: Because our search engine has changed, some users may have to adjust the criteria in their Saved Searches and Career Alerts. Test them out on the new Workopolis search pages and save the ones that provide the best results for you.
We renamed some of our pages and grouped a few tools together to make it easier for you to use all that our site has to offer, with less clicking around. Here's a quick guide to our key navigation changes:
Our career FastTracks, also known as our Popular Searches are now under the Browse Jobs label, which is in the Find a Job section.
In your My Workopolis account:
- My Resumes is now called Resumes and Cover Letters
- My Job List is now just called Saved Jobs
- Saved Searches and Career Alerts have been combined into one easy-to-manage page.
- My Personal Information is now simply My Account
Student / Entry-Level Jobs has been moved to the Find a Job section.
The Resource Centre is now called Career Resources.
- You can find Workopolis Learning by choosing Education and Training in the Career Resources section.
More relevant job searches and a cleaner, more intuitive website mean that using Workopolis really is taking the faster way to get to work.
